Nature’s Perfection. Petunia, Clematis and Verbena.
Perfect little lily bells.
First rose in the arbor.
Finally a dianthus bloom!
Hyacinth & Viola hanging basket
Yesterday’s chicken noodle soup dinner becomes today’s impromptu containers for leftover Violas.
Weed Mounds. We were able to get up all the weeds, but we didn’t get rid of them before the rain. They are thriving in their little weed piles. Oh well, at least they are contained.
This is supposed to be broccoli. It’s a major fail in the garden. Bugs everywhere an I never noticed a single head of broccoli worth cutting. Oh well.
Holy green peppers!! The tomatoes don’t have as much bottom rot but are still not edible. The cucumbers continue to be yummy! Haven’t tore into a green pepper yet. Can’t wait to eat it!
While we were away on vacation, the garden went crazy! Our corn is looking good and our sunflowers are taller than me!
The lettuce is done. And the carrots and peppers just seem to be stunted at miniature and are now getting eaten and rotting. Oh well. My calendula needs some serious deadheading - there are a lot of buds. I think next harvest I’ll try to make salve from them.
We need to start thinking about some late summer crop since things are winding down with what we have. I want to try some pumpkins!
Beautiful bunch of flowers from our garden. Calendula and Dahlia. So far my flowers have done better than my veggies. A sign?
